Hi Mr. Wiseau, thank you for being here today! My question is, are you planning to make any form of prequel/add-on to The Room?
Yes. We are doing sequel. And also 3-d, eventually.
Oh hi Tommy,
What was your favorite room when you were a kid? Mine was the fish-tank room in the back of the pet store... something about the aquarium lights in the darkness soothed me.
Mine was actually a little basement, actually. Hehehehe.
So Tommy, how is your sex life?
I enjoy it erryday!
Ohai Tommy, other than yourself, who do you think had the best performance in The Room?
Also, why do you think that Denny was buying drugs from Chris-R to the point that he owed him a significant amount of money?
I think everybody did a good job. All the actors were extremely dedicate. We had researhsal, I encourage peopel to actually think about twice before re-writing, bashing actors, because all the actors did a very good job. In the media, they said they didn't know what they were doing, but we had regular rehearsal, six months before, so everything was done very professionally, and actor did very good job. So I think everybody did good, equally well.
The reason for it was because he want to sell it, he want to make money you know?
Look at today's society. Everything you see in the Room is related to real life.
Who was the new client at the bank?
Oh, that's a big secret.
Heheheheheh!
You will find out in prequel.
Prequel??? When can we expect to see this???
Well... as I said before, hopefully next year, MAYBE.
Tommy, I can not see The Neighbors in Canada, I can naught!! When will it be available in Canada? Will it be on Blu-Ray soon? Keep the AMAZING work, man!! You are a true original!
Awww thank you very much! In Canada, I believe, maybe we will release in Canadian TV, so I am very happy people have this question. Yes, I am going to see Canada in a couple months! So...
You running Bay to Breakers this year?
No, not this year.
Oh hi tom!
What do you like on your pizza?
Canadian bacon and pineapple.
It's delicious.
Hehehehe.
Hi Tommy. Do you have a special lady in your life?
Yes I do.
Any news on the James Franco film of the making of The Room? Have you met with him? What do you think of that project?
Aw, I support him 100% perfect. He is very cool guy. But at this time, we have agreement, I cannot talk about it. He is very dedicate actor. We have a lot in common James Dean for example. Next question!
Oh hai, Tommy.
What started your obsession with ordering warm glasses of water at restaurants? Is it still a recurring order you place when dining out today?
What was your writing process like as far as The Neighbors and The Room went? Did you have a direction in mind, or did you write during/between filming?
Yes absolutely. And it's also misleading, because several articles, they say I don't drink it, I do drink hot water. It's very refreshing.
I do order, yes! Absolutely!
Well, THE NEIGHBORS we actually developed a different situation. THE ROOM is based on 800 page novel I never published. I condensed everything from play to script, again, this is the thing I am very proud of, I am very proud of THE ROOM, I'm very proud that people enjoy it. Yeah, absolutely, THE NEIGHBORS, I wrote it 7 years ago, you can still see proof on YouTube, some of the clips, courtesy of Wiseau films, I "let it go" as you say, and Ceecee, I think THE NEIGHBORS relate to American culture. It's too bad that some people don't understand entertainment... I hear the stories that some people are very negative, but I'm very proud of it.
Tommy please publish your The Room novel! I can pay top dollar because we just got a new client at the bank, we make a lot of money
Eventually, we will. Eventually, I will.
Oh hi Tommy.
In The Room, it’s pretty clear that the character of Lisa was meant to symbolize temptation and the evil that jealousy between friends and lovers can create. Could you elaborate more on what Lisa’s actions in the film say about our society and the moral degradation of America as a whole?
GREAT Question!
First of all, you can compare Lisa to Eleezabeth Taylor, to when she did CLEOPATRA. The ladies, they don't have to wear jeans, they can wear dresses to be very powerful.
So Lisa's character is very powerful. She represents American society.
So that's my answer. Move on, next one!
What's your favorite James Cameron film?
I'm - listening - THE ROOM, next question!
Tommy! I am a HUGE fan – I’ve seen The Room upwards of 30 times and I’ve seen you each time you’ve come to DC since 2010.
I was lucky enough to see a screening of The Neighbors the last time you were in DC. Which character was more difficult to play – Charlie or Ricky Rick? Will we see more of the chicken?
Love you – keep up the GREAT work.
PS – Love my Tommy Wiseau brand underwear. Especially the secret pocket ;)
I see your questions, on the big screen! I LOVE your question! I love character Ricky Rick! We actually have a jacket, dedicate to Ricky Rick, so if you like it, you can go to TommyWiseau.com or http://theneighborssitcom.com, and you can buy it!
Still have that knack for selling jackets, I see! I will buy one, but only if you use the proceeds to make the 3d prequel.
Well, I cannot promise you that but i eventually doing a ROOM prequel in 3-D, and the jacket you will enjoy it, so... Yeah! Of course we doing prequel, eventually. But you don't have to buy a jacket if you don't want to.
But you'll enjoy it. I'm pretty sure.
So when fans meet you during screenings of The Room, are there any quotes you are being asked to say by fans?
Neaaaaaaooo.
I say, you can laugh, you can cry, you can express yourself, but please don't hurt each other. It's up to them what they want me to say, you know? I enjoy, move on next question.
Do you plan on making any more films in the future?
Yeah, I am working on new project, it's called THE FORECLOSURE, we will be casting soon, we have already soon, and we have a vampire movie. And THE NEIGHBORS, we have 12 episodes of THE NEIGHBORS.
How does one get cast in your film?
Send in the headshot, and then we... consider it. So send out the headshot first, and then see what happens.
Hi Tommy, I'm a huge fan. My question is how much did the red dress actually cost?
That's a good one, hahahaha!
A lot of money, hahahaha!
Move on, next question!
Was Jonny truely her favourite customer?
Edit: my highest rated comment is about the room, my life's complete
Yes.
Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses, or one horse sized duck?
I can do both.
Moveonnextquestion!
How are you and Greg these days? Are you guys still good friends?
Well, we talk, but actually, probably, we just released a script, original script, available, THE ROOM, original one, because there was a lot of controversy, agin, I'm sorry for some of you guys in America we call "douchebags" - I've been filming the past 20 years, shame on you who are bashing THE ROOM as well as the actors in THE NEIGHBORS. It is new entertainment, and people reallyreally enjoy it. That's all I'm gonna say, moveonnextquestion.
Oh hi Mr. Wiseau, big fan here.
Are you in any way going to be involved in James Franco's film adaptation of The Disaster Artist?
The answer is yes.
I am involved, 100%.
I am part of it. Whatever, that.
What kind of cameras did you use on The Neighbors and will we ever meet the ghost character?
GOOD QUESTION!
We use a red camera, and for your information, we used 2 cameras, actually we had 3 cameras we'd be using. Again, for some of you, I don't want to be neg-a-tive, but some of you who write articles, it's very disrespectful, you don't write a question but just blog about it in a negative way.
I think THE NEIGHBORS can beat any sitcom in America okay?
I hope that you support good work in America, by supporting me.
What's your favorite line from any of your works? Mine has to be the "You're tearing me apart, Lisa!"
Well, we on the same page.
I love this quote.
And also, "WHAT A DAY!" I like that one. It's from Charlie, in THE NEIGHBORS.
And also, I see across America, people quoting me. "OH, WHAT A DAY!"
Well, we on the same page.
I love this quote.
And also, "WHAT A DAY!" I like that one. It's from Charlie, in THE NEIGHBORS.
And also, I see across America, people quoting me. "OH, WHAT A DAY!"
Victoria, I'm a very positive person. So give me negative questions, fine.
Thanks for being willing to address some of the tough questions Tommy. We appreciate you and your willingness to talk to the fans! Much love!
Yes. Thank you. Ask me any questions you'd like to ask.
Can we expect to see more episodes of The Neighbours in the future?
Yes! We are on a contract that we are shooting, actually last week we shot episode # 5 and in June we hope to release DVD as well. And so hopefully people will say "Hey, we are here!"
And you can also watch on Hulu the next episodes.
Oh hai Tommy! If you could play catch with one person, alive or dead, who would it be?
Hehehehehehee.
Somebody would hear this would probably be laughing, but Joe Montana, hahaha!
Oh hi, Tommy.
About five years ago, you showed up for a screening of The Room in Phoenix. You'd mentioned something about having dinosaurs in your house? What did you mean by that?
Also, why was there a doggy in the flower shop?
ALSOALSO, do you have any intentions of returning to Phoenix?
Thank you!
They were all dinosaurs, you know? I mean, it's always something weird. I have little dinosaurs in my house, yes.
Plastic ones.
I love dogs. And by the way, that was a real dog, from the owner of the flower shop! And I want to clarify this, the dog made $100. The dog was under contract.
I love animals.
Yeah! We actually have new screening coming. Actually in Philadelphia, Phoenix, we will be back in Phoenix soon, probably this year.
Biggest film inspiration?
Well, I find myself - I like - James Dean, Orson Welles, Elizabeth Taylor and Clint Eastwoods.
I think Clint Eastwood's a hero of mine.
The same way people can learn from me.
Are you going to write an autobiography? (The neighbors is awesome)
Yes, I am, because as you probably kneow, DISASTER ARTIST is not 100% correct, and some people - again - are very disrespectful of my lief. How dare you to bash me, to say negative things about me and my life when you don't even know me? Shame on you.
So yes, absolutely, you know. We in America, you know, we have very dedicate people, from New Orleans, and some of the function that people have are completely disrespectful. Shame on you if you blast my project. We are very dedicated to our art - shame on you, I would say, again! You know who you are!
And also you can add, about script, how dare you say that was not the script on the production of THE ROOM. How are you have powers to criticize someone you don't even know? When you say it's not a camera, or we have only this one camera, or this one or that one? Shame on you.
Move on, next question.
I touched your arm briefly at a screening of The Room in NYC. Do I get your special powers now?
Hahahaha!
The answer is yes. I am very spiritual guy, so as you guys kneow, we give away anniversary tag - we have screening in San Francisco - and yes you will have special power. Now we are connected.
Hahahaha!
The answer is yes. I am very spiritual guy, so as you guys kneow, we give away anniversary tag - we have screening in San Francisco - and yes you will have special power. Now we are connected.
And also I want to say THE ROOM connects the way THE NEIGHBORS connects.
I want you guys to have fun with it! To enjoy it! Exaaaactly. And we have great support from Hulu.
I arm wrestled him at the screening in SF. No special powers here, except for chuckling to myself every time I remember that moment... huhuhuhu
Oh yeah, that's true yes! It's correct. Yes. And I won one time and you won once too.
How did you make your millions Tommy?
Okay! That's good question!
Well first of all - if you look at background, you work hard, you make money. It's no secret, okay? You work VERY hard, you make money.
Well I work very hard, 24/7, several days a week, okay?
And the specific how I make monies will be in book. THE DISASTER ARTIST by Tommy Wiseau, when I write it soon. Yes.
Mr. Wiseau,
I am getting married in the near future and already have plans to throw a football around in an alley with my groomsmen. Any pointers on how to keep the game moving and to elicit the best awkward laughs from my groomsman for the videographer to pick up? Also, how can I best avoid injury?
Thanks for all you do.
Absolutely.
I encourage you to do that number 1. And don't call me Mr. Wiseau, I hate that, but I wish you luck in new direction in my life, and play football before you to go bed, and play football before you drink, before you get tipsy.
ABSOLUTELY - be the first one! Send me the clip! Absolutely! An invitation maybe! I wish you luck!
Hi Tommy! Thanks so much for doing this AMA. My question is, if you could go back in time and re-do "The Room", start to finish, is there anything that you would do differently? (PS thanks for the underwear that come with The Room scripts!)
Yeah, well, thank you for the script, yes. We sell the script with undewerear. I design the underwear. Not just the leather jacket, but to respond to your question, definitely - definitely the aspect of what we are doing is entertainment. That's what we do. That's all I want to say.
Hey, Tommy. Is the character Denny from The Room based on anyone from real life? And what about Claudette?
Oh yeah, we have many Claudettes in the country, with cancer - again, one of the things I like it when people ask why we don't talk about it, yeah, is because someday we have a cure for it.
Because it's a very private thing, you know? Many Claudettes in America relate to cancer.
Oh yeah, we have many Claudettes in the country, with cancer - again, one of the things I like it when people ask why we don't talk about it, yeah, is because someday we have a cure for it.
Because it's a very private thing, you know? Many Claudettes in America relate to cancer.
Many Dennys, many Johnnys, many Marks, because everything is coming from life, real life.
THE ROOM is a red flag for society, for people to do better, to be better to each other basically. I've been doing this for 12 years, saying that.
Tommy,
Thanks a lot for doing this! I have a few questions for youuuu! Jusssst a lil something..
1) In The Room, why was Johnny’s first date with Lisa an interesting story?
2) When Johnny buys Lisa a dozen red roses from the flower store, why does he hold them upside down?
3) Why did you, as the director, re-use shots from both of Johnny’s sex scenes with Lisa?
4) WHY IS MARK SO BUSY?!?!?!
You are my favorite customer, anyways how’s your sex life?
1.) Well, okay, let's... okay. It just WAS because she paid for DINNER, that's the interesting story. Next question.
2.) Oh, because that's a typical situation.
1.) Well, okay, let's... okay. It just WAS because she paid for DINNER, that's the interesting story. Next question.
2.) Oh, because that's a typical situation.
3.) First of all... we have variation in ROOM 1-4, it's not the same shot, at all.
4.) Why is Mark so busy? Why so busy!??! Because of business, like everybody else, hehehe!
Tommy, your work has been life-changing for me. A lot of people just like to watch The Room for a laugh, but entering the crazy, weird and hilarious community that surrounds The Room is helping me fight severe depression. Every time I watch your film with friends, I can forget about the world and be transported to a magical realm of red roses, spoons and American footballs, so I thank you so, so much for that.
My question is: If you could give all of politicians of the world just one piece of advice, what would it be?
Eeef a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live.
The advice I would give? Be nice to each other basically.
How old was Denny supposed to be in The Room? High school? College?
High school.
Hi Tommy, my husband and I are huge fans! Thank you for doing this AMA. Can you share one of your favourite memories from your time working on The Room? Also, what is your favourite food?
Edit: Big thank you to whoever it was who gave me the gold!
Memory? I enjoyed any minute in THE ROOM, and you can see behind the scenes of THE ROOM on DVD as well as blu-ray. Again, some of the statements people made about THE ROOM - I always enjoyed my work.
I like all kinds food, I like everything, you know?
I like Chinese food, too!
Favorite, like Italian food.
Where can I buy the underwear????
ABSOLUTELY. Thank you for asking that, first of all, i want to say I designed the underwear NUMBER ONE.
If you go to double-u-double-u-Tommy-Wiseau-dot-com - or if you go buy THE ROOM movie direct. That is best way to buy. We have all sizes, I am very proud, you will like it, probably.
A lot of people like underwear.
And also you can go to http://theroommovie.com
I designed it with a secret packet. We are only one underwear company that specializes in secret packets, so...
Hey Tommy, what advice do you have for a writer who is just starting and would like to get into the movie business?
That's good question.
I would say, think about 20% FIRST before you get to 100%. If you think about 20%, you will get to 100%. With original material, if people say negatives about you, let it go, move onto something else.
Hi! I'd love to know about your next projects and when the new episodes of The Neighbors are coming out, is there a date? Will we ever know about Cici's backstory?
Cici's backstory? That's good one. Eventually, yes, in episodes I say you find out backstory to Cici and other characters as well. She's a very good person, she has African-American style as well. We have really great response. Thanks for asking!
Hi! I'd love to know about your next projects and when the new episodes of The Neighbors are coming out, is there a date? Will we ever know about Cici's backstory?
We are working on it. We are working on The Neighbors in June July 2015
How did you feel about the audience reactions at the first screening of The Room?
Well, I enjoy it. Except some people did not.
Again... let me say, backstory lil bit, is misleading some people who write books of statements, because we run, two weeks running, because of Academy Awards, we have contract with the theater, and after 2 weeks, i receive many emails asking to run again, that was the screening in Wilshire, Los Angeles, they're calling screening room? And after that we got in trouble with Fire Marshall, because so many people show up.
And because we express ourselves- some people are "douchebags" they don't know what they are talking about. So we got in issue with Fire Marshall, I call theater, I say "Can we work with you" and we got great support, he say "it's always available midnight" so we take whatever he give us, so that's how it started.
So those of you who discredited my campaign for THE ROOM, again, shame on you.
And Victoria, I am sorry, I have to express myself. It's appalling that people can discredit my work as well what we doing here now with the Hulu. Anyway, move on, next question.
Hi Tommy! Thanks for being here!
-Do you ever plan on writing a book?
-What do you like about touring with Room screenings?
-What's the weirdest experience you've ever had with meeting a fan?
One last question!
Will I see you back in Saskatoon, or even Edmonton?
Thank you!
That's good one! I like a granola bar!
Yes! I already said, I will be writing the book, which we'll call, probably DISASTER ARTIST by Tommy Wiseau, an artist of what I accomplish in America, I am proud to be American, and again, some of you who are disrespectful, I am happy to be where I am. America is best country in the world.
I love fans of THE ROOM. We have great fans. They know i love them, I think they love them, I don't know about everybody, but we have connection. And I always say I encourage people to express themselves. You don't have to like THE ROOM, you know? I have thousands of DVDs in my library, and, uh, long story short, some of movie I don't like it, but THE ROOM, you may not like it - but if I give you the chance the movie to like it, I did my job well. I encourage fans of THE ROOM and newcomers to express themselves, and if you don't like me, that's fine with me, with America, you express yourself - you don't have to like the same food I like, you know? Hehehehe! But you may like movies, hahahah!
One of experience, a fan once said to me, "Will you marry me?" She was too young, but she was cool.
What do you make of the mystery around your origins? Are you surprised?
Well, you know, we're all curious. We all live in America, and we are all curious bout people, who they are, where they come from. I'm very private person, I keep that way, that's my choice. I am America, I keep that way. Thank you for asking that.
Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?
Yeah, I do, actually!
Heh!
Oh hi, Mr Wiseau. What would you say is your favorite project that you've done?
Bonus question: What's your favorite cereal?
Well, my favorite project, you know, i was designing underwear! Believe it or not, I designed clothes many years ago, I had dozens of stores in Bay Area years ago, which I closed to become an actor, but I love designing stuff, fabrics. So I was passionate about THE NEIGHBORS. And I'm very passionate about what I am doing. I am in Los Angeles right now, great success, and the Hulu people reading this, I would like to say thank you to them, to Revolver Entertainment who give us support, and I am very happy, basically TV is what we want to do, so I am very passionate with what I am doing. I just work everyday, so...
That's good one! I like a raisin.
Raisin, that's pretty good.
My aunt would always give me raisin when I used to live in New Orleans Louisiana, so I guess this is from my aunt, haha!
The Neighbors feels like a pornographic film at times. Were you inspired by the genre or is this just a coincidence?
Yeah, first of all, you can ask whatever you like. That's what this show is about. To respond to your question, NO. THE NEIGHBORS relates to our culture, it change. When we casting actors, I don't ask them about their private life. They are good people, they do the job we ask them to, and as you know, people like THE NEIGHBORS.
I made it to the second scantily clad woman and gave up - so, 10 minutes into the first episode?
By the way, if you go to Venice Beach, people wear their bikini.
What's wrong with that? What about that?
Hey Tommy, whose doggie was that in the flower shop scene?
Also, would you ever consider pairing up with the good people over at the iRobot Corporation to make the first ever "Tommy Wiseau's 'The Roomba'"?
Neoow! Actually no! I said this a few minutes ago, I don't know if you write this or not, but it was the owner's dog. It made a hundred bucks. It was a very unique dog. It was funny, again, this is funny experience that we have - to use the flower shop lady, she was very kind- and for some of you, eating breakfast cereal, they think we go to flower shop - these people were under contract. We are very professional people, let's put it that way.
Why not? Maybe we should do it, yes.
it was the owner's dog.
Was it real thing?
Oh yea, ABSOLUTELY yeah! That was a real dog! My goodness, is real dog! It was a little sleepy!
How can The Neighbors jacket change the world?
OHHH! That's good one! Well, how? Because when you wear the jacket - I cannot guarantee you, but I can tell you if you wear it, you will get a GREAT reaction.
Especially from the girls.
When I was in London, I was wearing jacket, got great reaction. I encourage you guys, it's up to you.
And plus, jacket gives special power. You can go to http://theneighborssitcom.com
Tommy, big fan here. The music from The Room was incredible. Was it original for the film? Where can I buy it?
First of all, thank you for asking this. YES. You know, still after all these years, people don't understand, yes it's original, we have THE ROOM CD. Everything is original. And let me straighten out for records one more time, everything you see is original - establishing shot is original. 100%.
Cent pour-cent.
First of all, thank you for asking this. YES. You know, still after all these years, people don't understand, yes it's original, we have THE ROOM CD. Everything is original. And let me straighten out for records one more time, everything you see is original - establishing shot is original. 100%.

You can buy it Amazon.com or buy it at http://theroommovie.com
What do people call you when they run into you? Do they feel comfortable calling you Tommy? Do they ever call you Johnny?
Actually, people call me Tommy. I don't like it when people call me "Johnny." Sometimes they do. But Tommy is what my name is. Johnny is character name, just like Charlie or Ricky Rick.
How many RedBulls do you drink a day?
Occasionally one. I try one.
Do you still plan on making "the vampire from alcatraz: king of vampires?"
Also what is the general plot about?
YEAH! ABSOLUTELY! I have a 120 page script! I will be doing after FORECLOSURE. As I mentioned, we are doing NEIGHBORS, FORECLOSURE, and then Vampires. The king of the vampires will control entire wooooorld, and he is good vampire, he helps like Superman. People. Is opposite with the myth is about vampires.
Tommy, if you could remake any American movie what would it be?
Mmmm. STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. Tennessee Williams.
Hey Tommy is there any difference making a tv series as opposed to a movie?
Well, you know what, I don't think that way. What's the difference you say? Well, it's different when you approach a tv show, or a movie. What was the question again? Oh yeah, absolutely. First of all, set is different, shooting is different, actors are different, lots of different obstacles. I could write a book about it.
I know you're the favorite customer at the Flowers and Gifts shop, but are they your favorite destination for flowers and/or gifts?
Ohmmm... many places in the world. Move on next question.
Hi Tommy! If you had one piece of advice for upcoming actors, what would it be?
Like I said before, think about 20% first before you go 100%.
Will you come to my wedding?
Send me invitation, we see what happen!
Are there any plans for a sequel/prequel to the room?
Yes. As I said before, the answer is yes.
Have you ever heard the speculation that you're DB Cooper? If so, where did you hide the 727?
Uh... neowww, but what people speculate is incorrect referencing. Not familiar with that. Looking right now, they are wrong, let's put it that way.
Tommy, why do you love movies so much?
Mmmmm.
Why?
It's something... we relate to it. When I watch movies, general speaking, you know. I relate to it.
Tommy can you tell us a little bit about The Neighbors?
Well you can watch it on Hulu right now. It's about a relationship between the neighbors as well, the dilemma about the management of the apartment.
Tommy, are you going to cameo in The Disaster Artist movie? Perhaps as the flower shopkeeper, so you can tell yourself that you're your favorite customer?
First of all, it's a good question. And agaaaain, I'm part of production, but I can't talk about it. So that's all I can say right now.
Hi Tommy! I'm a big fan of The Room.
In Greg Sestero's book, he mentioned that in early drafts of The Room you wanted to include a scene with a flying car, but it was cut because it was too difficult to film. Can you tell us about some of the ideas you had for The Room that, for whatever reason, didn't make it into the final version of the film?
Thank you!
That was the whole fantasy. The flying car did not exist, it was a joke. First of all THE ROOM was a drama slash comedy. That's what we had there. So flying cars is incorrect statement. Yeah, we had a shot behind the scenes you can see it. You see the blu-ray and DVD, some of the shot we did not put it in. Like basketball, Chris R playing basketball in the corner instead of in the alley. You can see very clearly what we did not use.
Your hair is beautiful! What products do you use and do you have any tips?
Well, I use many product, actually. I started using from very cheap to very expensive. And the cheapest...I probably design my own product, because I do same thing over and over. Hehehe.
Would you say you were depressed when you wrote The Room screenplay? It's such a sad story.
No, actually, I was very happy, because again, I took everything from life, the time when I was going to school, in college, in Bay Area, and I was happy to share something that people relate to it. It's supposed to be book first. It's based on 800 page book first. And then supposed to be play, and then script. So I was very happy with what I was doing.
Hey Tommy! I believe I spotted you at the Petco on LaBrea a few months back. Was that you? Best celeb spotting for me, if so!
Probably was me. Hahahahahaha! I love dogs. I love animals, so...
Hey Tommy, You're my favorite actor. Greatings from Austria. You have fans ALL over the world!!! How do you keep yourself fit? You look like you exercice everyday. Good thinking!
Yeah, I do exercise everyday, correct. And I love you too. I love everybody. All the fans in the world. Like I say, THE WORLD connects people. I think we connected in some way.
Hi Tommy! Big fan of The Room. What would you say are your top 5 favorite movies of all time?
Well, like I say... I like INTERVIEW WITH VAMPIRE. I like GUNS OF NAVARONE. And CLEOPATRA, Eleezabeth Taylor. And Clint Eastwood movies.
Hi Tommy Do you really like football?
Yes, I love football. I think, first of all, American football represents culture in America. When I go to London, we play outside the theater, we are very happy to promote American culture - hopefully Victoria can write this down- when I travel, in America, we have a culture. And I think that is what the important thing is, to represent that. That in America, we have a culture that i think is very unique for everyone who lives in America. So...
If you could shoot something in IMAX (2D or 3D), what would it be?
STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, maybe.
You're talking about theaters? I saw the TRANSFORMER. All the things, you know. What kind of movie to put in IMAX?
Why not THE ROOM?
I don't know! Hahaha!
What's your favorite thing about film making?
I think, you know, you need a vision. I always say - if you are filmmaker, you need a vision. If you don't have vision, you don't have film. And it's funny, the way that people - especially industry - don't appreciate that. But eventually they will. Because we have great support from Hulu, and what we're doing here, so...
Hi Tommy, will you ever come to Australia?
Yeah! We...may come September, not sure yet, but definitely yes.
You seem to be a very healthy guy. Can you describe how you keep yourself in shape? Diet? Exercise? Working hard 24/7?
Well, you have to think positively, number one.
And do what works for you, number two. Stretching, you can do all kinds of different stuff. Some people can not do 100 pushups, they get tired, but I can. I don't encourage people to do something that hurt themselves. Enjoy yourself and think positively. If somebody is negative, just let it go, you know? Don't listen to something negative, let it go.
Would you say that the way you take care of your body represents your outlook on you own career? Staying positive no matter what, ignoring any hate that may come your way, and continuing to push forward to accomplish new goals?
Also, how many pushups can you do?
Yes. Yes. I can do pushups. Sure! I can do 100 push-ups, at least.
Tommy, do you still use 35mm to shoot projects?
Yeah, we did THE ROOM on 35mm.
What's the question?
No, we shot THE NEIGHBORS direct, so the red camera is number one, and others as well. Mostly we shoot in Hollywood in digital formats. HOWEVER, lots of people shoot in 35, or try to, because 35mm, you can have the film for 100 years, with digital you may have an issue later on.
Hi Tommy, Is fame everything you hoped it would be ?
Neooow. I don't think about fame. I think that people appreciate your art, that's why i live in America, number one.
What inspired your character Ricky Rick? Also "hey Charlie, can I borrow $20?"
Okay, so Ricky Rick character is just the typical teenager slash high school, and he is crazy, the character, I love this character, I love characters, and I want to show the world i can do something DIFFERENT, you know? And Charlie is very conservative. No money! No job! He just borrow money, that's what he do! He's a douchebag, as a character. So I think they do very good job.
Why is the room called the room?
Oh, that's because it's a special place.
It's a place where things happen. It could be a basement, it could be a forest.
It could be anyplace. We all have it. It could be your apartment. It could be your car. You don't get a ticket, you just do whatever you want.
Oh Hai Tommy!
If you were an animal, which one would you be, and why?
TIGER.
Why?
Because I love tigers. They are very vicious. And sometimes I am very vicious too.
Tommy, it was never said in The Room, but what drugs was Denny taking?
Anything, you name it!
Oh hai, Tommy! What's your favorite sitcom of all time?
I like, you know... I LOVE LUCY, also FRIENDS, and again, let me say this - THE NEIGHBORS, of course.
Tommy- I know many of your works reflect what you find interesting about American culture. What's your favorite thing about the USA?
First of all - like I said this before, we have multi-culture, and that's how we express ourselves, in the film, in the sitcom, every day our lives. Many restaurants, we walk on the streets, we talk to people, we are very... receptive people. That's whY i am saying to some of those guys with the negative guys, I don't know where you come from, because it's very disrespectful when you don't know what you're talking about - you think you can bash something when you know nothing bout it. I am American. I am very proud of it. USA is one of the best countries, we work very hard, and years from today people will admire America very much more than now.
Hey Tommy. Big fan. Watching Neighbors right now. Loving it. Another season?
Any chance of you returning to doing some more documentary work? I thoroughly enjoyed your work on Homeless in America? Perhaps a follow up?
Yes, absolutely! As I said before, we have a contract that we will be doing another 12 episodes, and we are very happy that people desire THE NEIGHBORS.
I did The Homeless in America, and if something were to come out, definitely!
Oh hey Johhny - I mean Tommy! What took so long to get The Neighbors released? Also, does playing frisbee in tuxedo t-shirts count in anyway to playing football in tuxedos?
Due to the fact that we didn't have support and right now we do.
Can you talk about Lula and her relationship with Ricky Rick?
Yes. They are, uh, boyfriend and girlfriend.
Ohai Tommy! I'm really loving The Neighbors. Which character did you enjoy playing more? Ricky Rick or Charlie?
Oh Ricky Rick! I love playing Ricky Rick.
Tommy, if you were a dinosaur, what kind would you be?
Move on next question.
Oh hi Tommy
I bought some Wiseau brand underwear (excellent fit BTW) and they have a small pocket in them. What's the pocket for?
Also are there any plans to visit the UK?
Oh! This is a GREAT question! It is secret packet, you can put whatever you want in it. You can put $20, a key, tools, whatever you want.
Oh! This is a GREAT question! It is secret packet, you can put whatever you want in it. You can put $20, a key, tools, whatever you want.
You can put driver's license as well! Special packet!
Hey Tommy! Love The Room. How did going with Hulu to distribute The Neighbors come about? Did you approach anyone else to distribute and just get turned down?
By the way, the music that plays during the scene transitions in The Neighbors has become my ring tone. :)
YES!
Oh hi Tommy, I'm a big fan, I was wondering, what was your favorite part about filming The Neighbors?
That was a challenge, because we actually tried to make THE NEIGHBORS into current affairs, if I may say that. So it was a challenge, we used 2 cameras, 2 and 3 cameras, and there was a challenge with different people. Also chickens.
We had a chicken, and it was very challenging. To work with a chicken is pretty difficult. We had to train the chicken to actually react to the camera. It was pretty difficult.

It's a real chicken! We still have it!
We put in the garden. A friend of mine. He has it.
Tommy where do you see yourself in next 10 years?
Well, I'm a filmmaker as well as actor, so we see what Hollywood gives me, but just make more movies, complete THE NEIGHBORS, hopefully everybody will have fun with it.
Ohai Tommy, any European tours planned? We'd love to see you in Amsterdam.
PS: The Neighbours in Hulu is not available in the Netherlands. You're tearing me apart, Tommy!
Okay, well, thank you and long story short, you know, eventually you can contact your TV station, have them contact us, and they can contact us. The TV peopel from Netherlands, they can contact us, so they can show THE NEIGHBORS in Netherlands. And yes we are, but not this time, because we are working on THE NEIGHBORS. Eventually we will. We just got back from London.
Tommy, have you ever thought of turning The Room into a Broadway musical? I think it would be very successful.
The answer is yes. We actually did - AFI did a show, creating a play, which is THE ROOM play, on the stage. And yes, absolutely, we are doing on-Broadway show, called THE ROOM by Tommy Wiseau. On-Broadway, not OFF-Broadway, okay? Let's correct this Victoria. There's a big difference.
Hi Tommy! I bought and received my copy of "The Room" script the other day and "Tommy Wiseau" boxer shorts. There was one of your long, black hairs on the front of the script. Does everyone that buy a copy get a free hair or was I just one of the lucky ones to own a piece of you? Thanks for being a legend! Mark M in the UK...
Oh no, hahaha! I don't know how this happens!
Tommy--what did you think of Greg Sestero's impression of you in The Disaster Artist Audiobook? He is nominated for an Audie Award for Humor. Would it be weird if your best friend won an Audie Award playing you? ps-How is your sex life?
Well, it is what it is.
It's not 100% correct, but hopefully people have fun with it.
Hey Tommy! When will we be able to see the other eight episodes of The Neighbors?
Well, as I said, before summer.
What was it about The Room that you think madr it such a huge success?
Well, again, THE ROOM, we have something unique, because it's real life. And I would say - you can laugh, you can cry, you can express yourself, but please don't hurt each other. Enjoy THE ROOM! It's you, and me, and everybody!
Hi Tommy, big fan of THE NEIGHBORS here.
So, what kind of shampoo do you use?
Any kind - TW shampoo coming soon!
Does the stoner guy ever eat the chicken on "Neighbors?"
NO!
Does the stoner guy ever eat the chicken on "Neighbors?"
No, he does not eat the chicken.
He wants to.
Hey Tommy big fan quick question, Whats your favorite type of music?
I like... I like all kind music. Classical music as well as rock and jazz. YouTube!
Hey Tommy, are you an alien? If not, do you have proof of birth certificate? Also, what are your thoughts on Orcs?
no - I'm american
Tommy, what are your methods of dealing with the stress that life can bring you? You appear to have a laid back attitude towards life and peoples harshness. I personally have trouble handling stress and being calm so I figure you probably have good advice.
Think positive. That's good. So you have less stress. Don't deal with people's stress.
Tommy, I've seen the original pilot for The Neighbors from years ago and was just wondering... how did the new one turn out even WORSE than the original? And I don't mean worse in a good way. Worse in a trying-way-too-hard way.
Okay, first of all... you have douchebag.
Are you typing?
You are douchebag, number one. Number two, it's a great success, and if you don't like to enjoy yourself, then why do you talk about THE NEIGHBORS? You don't know what you talk about first of all. Think positive. But I still love you, you're a person.
I encourage you to go to school, learn about American culture, maybe you can change your mind.
Do you have advice for attracting a future wife?
That's good one! You know what?
Relationship is always difficult, to give someone advice.
So keep doing what you're doing. Eventually you will find your happiness.
In which genre do you feel most confortable working? With a dramatic story, like The Room, or with a comedy, like The Neighbors? Or do you prefer to deal with multiple genres in each project?
I like multiple genre. That's pretty good exciting question. Because I like to situation. And then agaaaain, what people don't understand about my personality, I was acting for quite a few years, so it's very important that you have respectful for situations. And then you will enjoy it. So again, I like all comedy, drama... whatever!

My teacher, she teach me - the more colors you have, the better.
Dear Tommy, First and foremost let me thank you for bringing me such joy. I have seen the Room easily over 500 times. Seeing it so many times I have a theory about your movie. While your movie addresses seemingly random major issues I have tied them together in a theory. When I watch your film I imagine Johnnys job at the "bank" to have ties to the Mafia. Mark too as he said he was very busy while waiting in the car wearing sunglasses probably waiting on a hit. His character is clearly a hitman. The scene on the rooftop with Chris R being suddenly "taken to the police" happened too quickly.
I theorize that Johnny and Mark disposed of him.
As for the conversations between Lisa and her mother I believe that she lives in a close apartment that johnny helps pay for because she has dementia. Several years prior she had breast cancer and has since been cured hence Lisa's calm and untroubled reassurance when she brings it up. While Lisa and Claudette are close the stress of caring for her ailing mother and the line of work cause her to feel lonely having Michelle as her only close friend to confide in as her boyfriend Mike is also in involved in the mob. She is also worried about Denny who is like a son to her becoming involved in the same shady line of work because of his love and admiration for Johnny. Peter the is too who as a psychologist runs drugs. Chris R was cutting in on their turf .
Lisa sees Mark as her only escape from her lonely reality but is filled with mixed emotions about her codependant relationship with Johnny. While Lisa and Johnny love each other Johnny does in fact become abusive off screen. The reason he doesn't usually drink is because he also takes anxiety medication due to his high stress job and blacks out when he drinks. I theorize he did in fact hit her perhaps that's the reason it is not shown on screen as the movie is centered around Johnny and his perception. This is supported also at the end of the movie when Lisa lies and says shes pregnant. As Johnny is celebrating and drinking champagne she is afraid of him hitting her and lies in hopes of avoiding a beating. Johnny does in fact get in a violent altercation with his best friend mark twice that night.
In the end Johnny is a victim of the high stress involved in being a loving caring friend pursuing love the American dream. That's about it. What do you think of my theory Tommy? Am I the only one who truly recognizes your genius?
Edit
TLDR: Conspiracy theory The Room is actually a complex coherent movie with extensive subtext.
-Johnny and Mark have mob ties
-Lisas mom has dementia
-Tommy Wiseau IS AN EXPERT!!!!!
Edit: Whoa thanks for the gold kind stranger. If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place.
We see this.
This theory is completely untrue.
But it's good writing. I give you credit for that. Move on next question.
When you sit down after a long day, what do you listen to?
Actually, I like to watch movies. I usually watch movies. I have a collection of the movies. I collect movies.
Would you consider playing a third character in The Neighbors?
Yes.
Yes.
No, I already two characters. That's enough for me right now.
Why do you think that people find you so fascinating? I know I do.
You tell me?
I don't know.
Hahahahaha!
How many comments fit in the average sized pocket?
That's hard to say. Ha ha!
Hahahaha!
Would you make a Tattoo on me that says The Neighbors? Tomorrow?
What? Eventually, maybe!
Hey Tommy, who manages The Room's website? Do you handle it yourself?
No.
Hi Tommy! What was your favorite episode of the Tommy-Wi show?
Well, you know, they had me as an actor, so I liked it all.
Why do you wear so many belts?
I loooove it. That's why.
I encourage guys to wear it. 2 and 3.
Happy St. Patrick's Day Tommy!
Have you ever been to Ireland? There is a huge fan community here
No, never been to Ireland, but I relate to it, because we receive many emails about Ireland. I will eventually go to Ireland, too.
Will you be working more with Tim Heidecker and Eric Warheim?
If they give me job.
I dunno!
How was your experience in the short film "The House That Bled on Alex"?
That was pretty private project, and again, that was different approach to filmmaking, but I did enjoy it.
Are you a vampire?
No. I'm just a human being like everybody else. But I belieeeve in certain, let's say... destiny. And vampires to a certain degree.
So no, I am not a vampire. But I relate to it. Something like that.
Tommy, is it true you filmed the police station scene with Chris R? If so is it ever going to be released? THANKS!
Yes, eventually we will find out about Chris R.
Hello, did you see Nostalgia Critic review of your movie?
no
Tommy you're a true hero of mine. Two of my best friends are getting married in November and I would love for you to officiate their wedding. Is there a way i can contact you about this?
Yes. Send me email, and we'll see what happens. Go through http://tommywiseau.com
Hi Tommy. I loved watching you play video games. What's your favorite video game?
DARK KNIGHT.
Tommy, I loved the room, but I can't watch The Neighbours outside the United States. Are there any plans to release it internationally?
Yes.
Eventually we will, because we have a lot of interest. Europe, UK, and also Canada. And Australia as well. All over the wooorld.
Yes.
Eventually we will, because we have a lot of interest. Europe, UK, and also Canada. And Australia as well. All over the wooorld.
Please contact your TV station, and tell them to contact US and we will work with them! If they contact us!
Who would you like to play you in a movie, since it isn't James Franco?
Oh... Johnny Depp.
He's very nice guy.
Dear Tommy:
can i have your autograph?
Tommy Wiseau
Now go watch The Neighbors
Why are you so fucking awesome?!!
Well, I love people, and I think people love me. I'm very dedicated you know? I like freedom, I like people who express themselves, and that's what America's all about. I want to create something so people can relate to it. That's why we create neighbors, we create future project. Filmmakers have responsible towards people, you know? So I'm trying to present everything as true as possible, as nice as possible, all negative stuff is as I said before, it's too bad that some people are very disrespectful but it is what it is.
Hey Tommy, you're a lord. When is the Room 2 coming out?
Actually - I am thinking of shooting next year. Because, what we doing right now. But I think priority is THE NEIGHBORS, priority is FORECLOSURE, working with TV people, and hopefully we accomplish that this year.
Oh hi Tommy
What is the name of the doggy in the cafe?
Freddy
Hi Tommy, I'm watching The Neighbors now. You've created a great group of characters here and I was just wondering where you draw your inspiration from to think of them?
I've also noticed that the characters all seem to need $20 all the time. Why is this?
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into creating such inspirational entertainment.
Because, you know, that's the typical! Everybody wants $20. If you like THE NEIGHBORS, send your comments to Hulu.
Why $20? It's $20. I think $20 is better than $10, hahaha!
Some of the situations - I had crazy, you know, very emotional people. So I'm trying to get as much from life as I can. But also this is imagination, so...
Hey Tommy, I have three quick questions for you:
How do you feel about James Franco buying the rights to a movie about The Disaster Artist? Have you heard anything about it that you're allowed to talk about?
Do you plan on releasing The Neighbors on DVD or Blu Ray, now that some episodes have gone up on Hulu? It's a hilarious show, and a great spiritual successor to The Room.
When's the next time you'll be in NYC for a screening of The Room? I'd love to meet you.
1.) I think it is right thing, and I think as I said before, I cannot talk about it, because i am connected to the production, and I hope it is the best product possible. I think he is very dedicated person, and very good actor as well.
2.) Yes, we will be releasing hopefully in June - 12th Anniversary of THE ROOM - so we are working very hard to have 12 episodes. Hopefully Hulu as well as TV. We can improve THE NEIGHBORS 20, 30% if we have support from TV people.
3.) We are going up in September. We go once a year. So that will be coming up in September, hahaha!
Tommy, do you think one day we will be watching The Room and Neighbors on Mars?
YES!!
Yes! I have some ideas, you know? We want to put the DVD on Mars!
YES!!
Yes! I have some ideas, you know? We want to put the DVD on Mars!
We may do a Kickstarter campaign, you know.
MIGHT.
We may do a Kickstarter campaign, you know.
MIGHT.
It takes millions of dollars, but... why not?
Hi Tommy,
Are we laughing at you, or with you?
We are laughing together.
Don't listen to douchebags, for GOD'S SAKE!
ENJOY-A LIFE!!!!! Relax together!
If you could choose your neighbors, out of everyone in the world, who would you choose?
Wow.
That's a... I'll be honest with you... I like everybody so I don't want to discriminate who'd be my neighbor. But it would be fun to live next to Clint Eastwood, for example. Or Orson Welles, but he's not around. So I can't discriminate. I don't care who they are, as long as they are sincere about life.
Will you ever consider making an animated film?
ABSOLUTELY! Actually, I just completed the animation, the voice-over, for... an animated film.
ABSOLUTELY! Actually, I just completed the animation, the voice-over, for... an animated film.
And they might do an animation based on THE ROOM.
Is it true you paid doggy $100? If so, could you pay me $100?
Yes - that's correct!
Tommy. Geez man. You're insane. Why should I watch The Neighbors?
Well, you don't HAVE to watch THE NEIGHBORS, but I think you probably have the stress, and for the stress, you need entertainment. So helpfully you enjoy THE NEIGHBORS, you have a little drink, a little football, you watch THE NEIGHBORS, and you enjoy it! And have fun with it! It's different entertainment, for a new generation!
How was your day today?
Today is beautiful day, I answer all the questions, whatever questions you have and enjoy myself. Hopefully you enjoy it too, and you hear about me.
Tommy, what are the most important themes/ideas that you want to convey through The Neighbors that people just aren't grasping?
Well, if they don't grasp it, it's not MY problem.
THE NEIGHBORS, you will hopefully see words behind the characters behind them. For example, Charlie, we have people like that in America. You have to watch it a couple times, maybe you like it. Maybe you don't like episode 1, you'll like episode 4. It's something different. It's not wrong to say you don't like it, it's okay.
Eventually you will enjoy it.
Hi there!
I was fortunate enough to see the screening of The Room at The Main Art Theatre in Royal Oak where you were in attendance. You had two belts on-one at your waist and another one slightly above your knees. I'm curious-what is the purpose of that second belt?
You know... the idea is... I like to wear it, and everyone should try it.
It's for guys only, okay?
Hey Tommy, can you still speak some French? =)
Yes! Je parle français!
Do you believe that The Neighbors and The Room take place in the same universe? If so, what's your theory behind it?
Yes. Life is beautiful.
Tommy, what country were your born in?
I was born on Planet Earth.
Moveonnextquestion.
And I'm American, and proud of it.
Where does your accent originate from?
I speak two languages. I have no idea, to be honest with you.
It is what it is.
Did Claudette recover from her breast cancer?
Yes, she survived.
What do you think of this drawing I did of you? http://imgur.com/HaQFRh8
EDIT: here's my facebook page dedicated to this milestone in my life, feel free to like to keep up with my okay drawings of the main man himself https://www.facebook.com/tommywiseaudrawings
It's okay. It could be better.
The chiseled, very chiseled, yes. But nice overall.
What are some of your biggest inspirations?
Well, I already said that, though. Just thinking, Orson Welles, the Giants, etcetera etcetera.
Hi Tommy!,
I am just curious at to the sex scenes in The Room. Did you have any reservations showing your behind? Did you prepare for the scenes in any way?
Yes, I did prepare. Like anything else. So it is what it is.
So yes, I did prepare.
What's your favorite color?
Blue.
As an aspiring actor, I have found great inspiration from your work, mainly in The Room. Is there any advice you can give an aspiring actor like myself? Also, what skin care products (if any) do you use?
Like I said: think about 20% first before you have 100%.
Oh, SKIN PRODUCTS? Clarins, actually.
Oh hi Tommy, I was wondering, what is your morning routine?
Thanks, Camille x
You know... wake up, stretching, think about, all this thinking, you know? Thinking about work, and then you move on to next level.
Is The Neighbors in the same style as The Room?
Also, could you say hello to my friend, Marcus? He loves The Room more than he loves his girlfriend.
Marcus! Hello Marcus!
Hi, Tommy. Could you one more time explain to me for the meaning of the spoons in The Room? I was a bit confuse about that one.
Since you are confused, maybe watch one more time - maybe you get it.
Hello Tommy!
Theroommovie.com is still up, and still shows that official The Room merchandise is on sale. It also says you will sign the merchandise upon request. Are the items still available to purchase, and are you still willing to sign them? I have tried emailing both emails on the site but they have gone unresponded to.
Thank you for doing this AMA!
Well, yes. The answer is yes. You can go to TheRoomMovie.com, and you can go, and you can order them.
Tommy, do you own any pets?
Oh pets? Neow. But I used to own 3 dogs.
Hey Tommy!! What's the best part of working in television?
It's... you know, it's different. Different environment, you know? Different projects, you need different skills, and also you need a vision. Without a vision, you don't have production, basically. It's completely different.
Why isn't Greg in The Neighbors?
Why don't you ask him? He was supposed to do THE NEIGHBORS, and I cannot speak up for him.
If you had to choose only one single profession for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Writer, actor, or director?
Actor. But I like directing too. But if it's one, I say acting. Acting is my passion. But directing as well. But if only ONE, acting.
Hey Tommy, huge fan of your work. I just have one question. Will you be incorporating more spoons in your upcoming projects? Keep up the good work!
I dunno yet.
Maybe!
Hahahahaha.
There's a basketball in THE NEIGHBORS, actually.
Do you think Kristen Bell disrespected you? You seemed to be pretty angry about it.
Well, she... didn't say... the answer is yes. Because she shouldn't say if - how do you criticize somebody if you don't know about the person? You cannot do that. And she's a very nice person. And I want to contact her about my new project, because I'd like to work with her. I think she is very dedicated, but at the time, when she was on Kimmel show, she probably didn't know what she was talking about. That's what it is!
Hi Tommy! Big fan!
In The Room, when Lisa makes Johnny get drunk, what does she mix with the vodka? People believe it was scotch but I wanted to know how she so easily got Johnny to drink so much, since he doesn't normally.
Yeah, I don't drink, but she drinks something heavy. So scotch is fine with me.
Tommy!!! Are there any directors that you relate to? Would you act in any of these their films? What kind of movie would it be?
Yeah, like Clint Eastwood, he is very dedicated person, and a pioneer of American cinema, so...
Oh hai Tommy.
Does The Neighbors take place in the same universe as The Room? Will we see references to The Room's events in The Neighbors anywhere?
We answer already this question.
The answer is yes.
Hello Tommy! How long have you been acting and writing? When did you realize your passion for it?
That was actually - I used to want to be a singer, but in past 15 years, I am passionate about what I am doing. That's why I am very dedicate - to THE NEIGHBORS, I am very happy with that.
Oh hi, Tommy! I absolutely loved THE ROOM, in fact I watched it with my girlfriend and we enjoyed it very much. I wanted to know, what is your ideal first date? Thanks!
Oh, first date! Have good conversation before you do anything, ha ha ha ha! Good conversation, and I think... have respect for each other. And the first date will be the best, definitely.
Oh Hi Tommy,
Can you give us a sneak peek as to what FORCLOSURE is about? I'm assuming it's about a FORCLOSURE, but I could be wrong.
No, no, that's correct! It's a movie called FORECLOSURE about a foreclosure on a house. I play a character called "Richard." Long story short, the bank take over a house, long story short, and then Richard take over the bank. And you have... a situation. A hostage situation, etcetera etcetera. It will be drama, but if somebody call it comedy? Whatever they call it, I don't really care anymore.
What is the meaning of life?
The meaning of life is happiness... respect... looove... commitment...
When will you be back in San Francisco? We need you! Also, what are the top things you would recommend a mid-20 year old do to be successful?
I will be in San Francisco next month! At the cinema! We have a screening in San Francisco. And also you can see THE NEIGHBORS as well.
I said this before - think positive. And have respect for people. If you have respect, you will be very successful.
I notice the websites for 'The Room' and 'The Neighbors' have a very expressionist, almost Kafkaesque energy (of the kind that was in vogue during the late nineties) - did you design them yourself or have creative input?
Also, I'm very intrigued by the hype around 'The Neighbors' - how would you summarise the concept of it?
No - I did not design myself.
Nothing to do with hype. People enjoy it. It is what it is. That's it.
Where did you get the money to make your movie?
work hard and save it and ask people to support your project
Hi Tommy! Do you have any comments on this: http://xkcd.com/1400/ ?
It's fantasy. It's laughable.
Lots of Hollywood celebrities and comedians have said they're big fans of your movie, and their passion for spreading the word of your movie and keeping the midnight showings contributed to it's success.
So my question is, who is your favourite celebrity or big name that has said they're a fan of your work? And any cool stories about run-ins with celebrity fans because of your movie?
Well, we met Jonah Hill at a grocery store and seth rogen. The others I thank them for support and I support their projects as well.
Tommy are you still there TOMMY, if you're there then what is you're favorite flavor of pie?
uhhhh blackberry
and blueberry
Are you still enjoying acting? What are your favourite types of characters to play?
yes absolutely. Thats my life. Acting is my life.
Wars or Trek?
both
Tommy, I'm working on a screenplay for an independent feature film, and I love the way you blend absurdity into otherwise serious films. What advice do have on that?
That's my style. It's TW style.
Huge fan of your work! I am currently watching Neighbors, and have been to many Irish showings of The Room.
What is one thing that is completely true and one thing that is completely not true about you in Greg's book?
I support greg's book only 40% that's number 1. Eventually, you'll find my book Disaster Artist by Tommy Wiseau
Hi Tommy,
First of all, thank you for coming to Liverpool last month, it was amazing! I was really happy to watch The Neighbors in the cinema.
Second of all, are you planning on releasing The Neighbors to UK anytime soon?
We are screening The Neighbors in Prince Charles cinema in April.
[insert The Room quote here]
How was it being on Space Ghost Coast to Coast? And also what happened with the Neighbors and [adult swim] (You mentioned it right at the end of the bumpers).
We're not connected with them any more. We work with Hulu and Revolver.
We are not associated with Tim and Eric or Adult Swim at this time.
When will you travel to Amsterdam, the Netherlands?
soon. next year hopefully
Would you please ask my how my sex life is? Please?
How is your sex life? Hopefully you doing well.. hahaha
Hi Tommy! One of my dreams is to be in the film industry writing and making movies. What route in college or in my life should I take so i can fulfill my dreams?
Adler school or any school many school across the country. so many filmschools across the country. Here in Los Angeles there are so many schools. You want to write? Write your script if that's what you want to do. Start writing!!!!
What is the dumbest comment someone made about you, or a rumor you heard about yourself?
The dumbest thing would be that everything happened by accident. That The Room happened by accident without a script. That's crazy.
Go here you can see the script https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEqwW7_mMTo
Hai Tommy! Thanks for doing this AMA. Can't wait to check out The Neighbors. So here's my question: You are being sent to a deserted island for the rest of eternity, but are allowed to bring one person. Do you bring Lisa, Mark, or Denny? And why?!
Yes go check out The Neighbors here: www.hulu.com/the-neighbors-2015
Yeah I bring Lisa because I will the kids with her. Okay? It's for eternity.

I have a couple of questions: 1) What nationality are you? 2) Has the amount of shit you get over your accent gone down since The Room become so relevant? 3) Are there any movies that have been announced for future releases that you would want to star in?
I'm American. If the project come to me, I'm open for it. Right now I'm open for The Neighbors.
Who does the best imitation of you?
Some of the fans. Some of the fans of The Room and I LOVE them for it!
Hi Tommy! Was there any particular thing that inspired you to design an underwear line? Also you are one of my film idols and you inspired me to make this song that uses basically only samples from the room https://soundcloud.com/viejaviajes/rose i love you so much
Yes! I like clothes and I been doing this before and I want to show the world that TW Underwear is the best ever and I encourage everyone to have it. http://tommywiseau.com/ or http://theroommovie.com
Hai Tommy, did you ever expect the amount of attention your film has gotten?
No but however nevertheless I like very much so. Keep watching.
What's up with Lisa's neck?
Maybe she has a super power? Keep watching The Neighbors...
Tommy, huge fan. Even though I know I should probably keep my stupid comments in my pocket, I've seen the room upwards of 30 times. I've also read mark's Disaster Artist and had a viewing of the neighbors, which continues the Tommy Wiseau career wonderfully. Anyways, my question- are there any people you attribute your success/fame to? What people in your life gave you the help or inspiration to achieve what you have achieved?
Also, Buffalo NY would love to have a theater showing of The Room!
Thanks!
If you have respect with people and love them, they will give back. Contact us about the theater and we will see.
